MARK DUNLOP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - 2019 Daniel Self

Daniel was heading into his first year of Elite racing when he received the Mark Dunlop Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship guaranteed him a season of overseas racing in 2019 which turned out to be his most successful season yet. 

Despite sitting out one race due to injury and encountering a mechanical hiccup in another, he ended with an impressive 42nd overall ranking in the Enduro World Series (EWS). He had two top 40 finishes in Tasmania and Whistler, and was consistently among the season's top-ranked privateers.

The scholarship was a game-changer, he says, as after his performances in the first few rounds of EWS additional opportunities and sponsors started to fall into place. The exposure he gained from the EWS was invaluable and paved the way for the rest of his racing career.
