Let's start off with one of the most common questions, what does 2W mean?
2W simply stands for two wheels...
The Giant 2W Enduro mountain bike series first exploded onto the scene in 2013 when it was launched by Dare to Sweat Events, a local Rotorua Event Company. It is now owned by the Rotorua Mountain Club who have partnered with Aotearoa's leading endurance mountain bike company, Nduro Events who are based in Rotoura.
The events prioritise a social and inclusive atmosphere for riders new to Enduro Racing along with promoting a friendly and supportive environment while still offering a competitive element.
Along with efforts put into developing riders the proceeds of the event go towards club initiatives including the Mark Dunlop Scholarship, Ride As One Project, The 2W Sustainable Trail programme and much more.
The ethos of the event is “cruise up, race down” with a high emphasis on being an exciting, fun and social style of event that provides a friendly style of racing for 400+ riders.
